Jay Z & Beyonce To Go Vegan For 22 Days

Jay Z has announced that he and Beyonce are slated to take on a 22-day plant-based challenge.

Jay announced this change in diet in a statement released via lifeandtimes.com

“Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit,” Jay Z said in a statement. “On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way.

“On December 3, one day before my 44th birthday, I will embark on a 22-Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based,” Jay continued. “This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought.”

Jay Z also said that his age plays a factor in the decision.

“Why now?” Jay said. “There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day…It just feels right.”

Jay Z also announced that he is slated to report his progress publicly.

“So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse,” he said. “I will post my progress…Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots, please help out. Please ha. I don’t know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We’ll see.”

Jay Z ended the statement by saying Beyonce would join him on the challenge.

This year, Jay Z and Beyonce combined to make more money than any other couple in the entertainment industry with an estimated $95 million in earnings over the the course of a year, according to Forbes.com. The report measured the earnings of celebrity couples from June 2012 through June 2013.

    1. all the vegans i know are the most frail mother fuckers you ever seen. give them a high 5 and you might dislocate their shoulder

    2. uptil I saw the bank draft saying $5731, I have faith that…my… mother in law was realy earning money part time at there labtop.. there friend brother has been doing this for less than 14 months and as of now repaid the loans on their villa and bought a new Buick. navigate to this web-site… http://www.Fb39.com

I am an experienced designer who went to a top art college. So I know what i am talking about. Thanks.

      1. A vegan diet is much cheaper & easier than an animal based diet. You just need to educate & motivate yourself. Some vegans eat mostly raw like alot of fruit, so you dont even have to cook alot. Most cooked vegan foods can be done as one-pot meals ahead of time, so they take less time & effort than meat-based cooked meals. There is alot of free info out there about how to be vegan in an easy & affordable way.

      2. Eat a lot of fruit and become obese. It’s filled with fructose which metabolizes in the liver and doesn’t store as glycogen in the muscles. The liver holds up to 60g of glycogen, the muscles hold anywhere from 3-600 grams. We’re made to eat meat and plants, not only plants. Grain makes you fat too and cause a shit load of diseases. Conventional meat is bad for you.

    3. Dude making a responsible, grown-up decision. Animals are a source of food but shouldn’t be a primary source and the mass-production of animal food is fucked up beyond belief. I’m a casual vegan, and surprisingly there’s hella lot of good plant-based food out there, just gotta make an effort and it don’t really cost anything extra at the checkout line

    4. just before I saw the receipt 4 $7503, I did not believe that my mom in-law had been trully making money in there spare time from there labtop.. there aunt started doing this 4 only twenty months and resently repaid the depts on there apartment and bought a great new Toyota. website here… http://www.Fb39.com

And you DO have the option to participate by watching the Twitter feed. It isnt ideal, and yeah, you get spoilers, but you still have the option.

    5. Ive got so much respect that they are doing this. Im not a fan of their music but I really am glad that they are making this choice, & doing it publicly. They inspire millions of people & are in a position to show people how good the vegan diet is for humans, animals, & the whole planet. Or as Jay Z puts it, “plant based”.
