Music fans who like to create their own album covers now have
a chance to shine.
Janet Jackson is
giving four lucky fans a chance to have their designs grace the cover of her
upcoming CD, 20 Years Old. Fans have
five more days to select one of the 33 images of Janet posted at http://music.yahoo.com/janetjackson.
The pictures can be downloaded and remixed to create a new
album cover. Each design will be assigned a link that users can send to friends
and family.
The top four scoring finalists, as determined by Janet, will be declared the contest’s
grand prize winners, and will see their design appear on selected publicly
distributed copies of 20 Years Old.
The remaining 16 finalists will be deemed runners-up, and will receive Janet’s entire album catalog on CD.
Jermaine Dupri,
who serves as the album’s executive producer promises that the album will “blow a new generation of minds.” Janet has re-teamed with her original
collaborators, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
for the disc.
20 Years Old hits
store shelves September 26.
