Jamie Foxx Assault: Odd Future Member Questioned By Cops As Charges Loom

Jamie Foxx‘s assault at a Los Angeles restaurant earlier this month is still being investigated, and police now want to speak with Odd Future founding member Jasper Dolphin in connection with it.

As previously reported, Foxx, his daughters and his ex Kristin Grannis were at the Beverly Hills location of Mr. Chow celebrating his birthday on December 13 when police got notice of a fight happening inside.

Early reports revealed that someone from another table threw a glass that hit Foxx in the mouth and he was forced to get stitches, and now more information is available.

According to a report from TMZ on Thursday (December 26), the issue started due to a Jackass stunt that used a laser pointer to project a penis onto Foxx’s table. Not taking kindly to the prank, the actor walked over to tell the people behind it to stop – and apparently things escalated from there.

Jasper, who joined the Jackass crew a few years back, was reportedly at Mr. Chow that night and police now want to interview him about the matter. He is currently not a suspect or person of interest in the investigation, however.

According to the outlet, Foxx is planning to press charges “so this type of incident does not happen to others.”

In other Foxx news, his recently-released special Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was… finds the comedian revisiting his April 2023 health scare – which he revealed was a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

However, the internet was running rampant with rumors that the cause was actually an unsuccessful hit by Diddy – claims that were amplified by Joe Rogan when he discussed it on his podcast in November.

But Jamie was sure to clarify that was not the case.

“The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me. That’s what the internet was saying!” he says in the special, which was recorded in October. “I know what you thinking – ‘Did he?’ Hell nah, n-gga. I left them parties early. I was out by 9, n-gga. Something don’t look right. It’s slippery in here.”

He throws in a few more jokes about Diddy throughout the special as well.

When discussing his nearly-fatal health scare, he said: “I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil like, ‘Come on.’ Or is that Puffy? I’m fucking around.”

Later in his set, he references the 1,000 bottles of baby oil seized from Diddy’s property: “If it was Puffy, he had a flaming bottle of Johnson &… I’m just kidding.”

    1. Jamie Foxx is so gotdamn talented, but so woefully insecure. You really took great issue with a childish prank so hard it cost you a cup in the face now you wanna rat and cry victim? No doubt whoever threw the glass was wrong and the gesture was totally inappropriate, but was it really that serious before you freaked out and made it that way on your birthday no less. All that money and talent and you still shook by the careless antics of young fools? This world is doomed. And one of the main problems is some of the most gifted are the first ones to walk us all towards that inevitable plank. Nearly anyone with half a brain could’ve defused this situation better but here we go again pure talent no common sense.

      1. I agree but if that “prank” was getting out of hand as in continuing on and on and then a reaction is warranted. As a man we can approach someone about a continuous disturbance if it was just a little thing though like it seems to be, I would of probably let it go or have someone else handle it if I’m rich and famous.

      2. Dude, we’re talking about an entertainer here. You act like the guy is some super genius who’s changed the world LOL. Entertainers can’t be expected to be great examples for the rest of us. Just entertainment. Nothing more. True talent are those who make big discoveries, advance pur knowledge, and so on.

      3. ok, so what you’re screaming is he’s normal wac right. lol your standards are so low let’s make some foot stew and then come back and school on how i stooped so low.

      4. laser pointerin oublic? this aint a game child sit down hes lucky he didnt take it as a threat and get blasted playing childish games

      5. lemme do that to you and see how you react. internet tough guy will say I WOULD BEAT HIM UP. you wouldn’t do anything cause you, your daddy and your 2 step dads are puss made.

      6. @James And that’s why you’ll always be trapped in this simulation. You are addicted to playing checkers. Others are more invested in playing chess. Rich man fighting over a lame azz laser pointer at a birthday dinner when you could easily pay to have 10 people jump him later on a whim if so inclined. He’s an idiot for this charade.

    2. grown “man” in fancy restaurant playin with laser pointers shiwin kids peen not cool if tru stomp that boi till his teeth gone or just take him for a big bag that face future earnings oddball

    3. There are details missing. Jasper used the “Lazer pointer”, and then Jamie Foxx did something that then escalated into a glass being thrown at him. I’m guessing he threw a glass first and then got one in return. It’s not like Jasper shined a lazer and then threw a glass. Jamie Foxx is going to end up in trouble.
