Jadakiss has shown his hoops talent in viral clips, but it hasn’t paid off — at least not in the way he wants.
In an appearance on the inaugural episode of PJ Tucker’s show Sneaker Lounge, the LOX member discussed — in a mostly comical way — his frustration that he hasn’t been chosen to play in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Toward the end of the show, Tucker brought up Jada’s hoops prowess and said that the Yonkers rapper “gotta be” in the annual event. His guest wasted no time in agreeing, and said he’s been trying his best to make it happen.
“I exhausted my resources,” he said. “I called everybody I know. I emailed, I text, I been working out, I been putting clips on the ‘Gram. I been going my hardest, and I still got snubbed. I gotta stop getting snubbed for the Celebrity All Star Game.”

Kiss began enumerating everything he’d been doing to be worthy of inclusion, cracking the host up along the way.
“I been a taxpaying, clean citizen, a great father, I’m drinking water, I’m voting, I bought the church new Bibles. I did everything and they still snubbed me!” he said, much to Tucker’s amusement.

Jada concluded by pleading to be included in the game while he was still in good enough shape to play.
“Don’t wait ‘til my moneymakers blow out and then call me and I’m looking horrible out there,” he said, patting his knees. “I gotta play while I still got some fluidity in my knees.”

“Next year, I pray to get in,” he concluded.

While Jadakiss is all but begging to be included in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, one of his rap peers actually turned it down.
Cam’ron, a former high school basketball star, revealed during an episode of his and Ma$e‘s sports show It Is What It Is last month that he was asked to play in this year’s game but declined the invitation.

“They called me to do that shit,” he said. “I had other prior obligations that stopped me from getting in shape that I need to be in. I would’ve loved to play, but I’m nowhere near full-court shape to play 48 minutes.”
Meanwhile, Gillie Da Kid also feels aggrieved that he wasn’t picked to play in this year’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
Appearing on former NBA stars Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All the Smoke podcast in February, the rapper-turned-media personality claimed he was promised a spot by the league but was surprised to see his name missing when the participants were announced.
“The celebrity game would get more views than the All-Star Game but they won’t put me in there,” Gillie said. “Our assistant was talking to people from the league. I was told that I was playing in the game and I was going to be mic’d up. The muthafucking list came out with the players and I wasn’t on it.”

The list of celebrities who did participate in this year’s game included singers Jennifer Hudson and SiR, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and NFL stars Micah Parsons and CJ Stroud, as well as former NBA champion Metta World Peace.
