Benny The Butcher surprised fans in Baltimore this week when he brought out J. Cole as a guest on the first night of his Thank God I Made It Tour.
The Griselda rapper kicked off his world tour in on Thursday night (April 20) and Cole sent the crowd into a frenzy when he hit the venueâs stage. The duo performed their gritty 2022 anthem âJohnny Pâs Caddy.â

Sharing a clip of the performance on Instagram, Benny captioned the post: âStarted the THANK GOD I MADE IT TOUR off right way in Baltimore bringing my boy out @realcoleworld.â
Fans can be seen enthusiastically rapping along to J. Coleâs brash feature, where he crowns himself the âbest rapper aliveâ over The Alchemistâs crisp production â which took home HipHopDXâs Beat Beat of 2022 Award â and they even finish some of his lyrics for him.

âOn the night I was born, the rain was pourinâ, God was cryinâ/ Lightninâ struck, power outage, sparks was flyinâ/ The real oneâs here, the young boy that walk with lions/ Around the outlines of chalk where the corpses lyinâ,â Cole raps.Â
Plenty of Bennyâs rap friends lent their stamp of approval to Cole joining him on stage, including Busta Rhymes, G-Eazy, Blxst, Royce Da 5â9âł, Bun B and more chiming in on the Instagram post.
âJohnny Pâs Caddyâ arrived in January 2022 and landed on The Butcherâs Tana Talk 4 album in March. The track pushed its way to the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 72, and earned Benny his first-ever plaque when The Alchemist-produced single went gold on April 13.
Bennyâs Thank God I Made It Tour continues this weekend with a pair of Virginia shows in Norfolk and Richmond before heading to the Northeast.
From there, he will make the trek overseas and hit up Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece, Israel, Poland and the Netherlands to close out the tour.
On the music side, the Buffalo native has been teasing another possible Hit-Boy-produced album titled Everything Canât Go as the Burden of Proof collaborators were locked in the studio in March.
