iLoveMemphis hit the national scene quick with his breakout single “Hit The Quan” and since then everyone has been trying to find out more about him.
Recently sitting down with HipHopDX News Editor Soren Baker, the Memphis native explained why he loves his native city so much.
“It’s the city that made me,” he said via a segment of yesterday’s (November 6) DX Daily. “It’s the city that had me going out there, exploring and trying to find my dreams. I came up from the bottom so, I heart Memphis ’cause it made me.”
iLoveMemphis also talked about his Memphis’ history when it comes to Hip Hop and why what he’s doing is different.
“It’s a lot of hardcore street music so I came out with a different, in my own lane with the dancing,” he said. “We have Juicy J, Yo Gotti, Don Trip, Three 6 Mafia, 8 Ball & MJG, Frayser Boy, all them guys man. I’m definitely doing something different from Memphis.”
