IDK and Rich The Kid have teamed up for their first collaboration with “850 (We On Top)” which arrived last week.
The BLWYRMND and SB Paolo co-produced “850” hit streaming services on Friday and the visual arrived on March 24 as well.

The Maryland native reflects on his trapping ways and the turbulent journey his rap career has taken him around the globe as he incorporates Los Angeles, Japan, France and Spain into his rhymes.
Prior to the music video crossing the finish line, which was self-directed by IDK, a combination of the Ghana and Sierra Leone flags serve as the background to a sobering closing message about the transatlantic slave trade and his Free Coast world.

“Often times African-Americans are questioned and even ridiculed for not understanding their history… Well the effects of Trans-Atlantic slavery and lack of in-depth teaching in the American school systems do not make learning as easy as one would expect,” the image reads.
“Free Coast is a world created to bring awareness to Cape Coast, Ghana (Where slaves were taken from West Africa to America) and Freetown, Sierra Leone (Where slaves were freed) through combining both flags and their historic components to make one movement.”

The message could possibly be interpreted as a response to Burna Boy, who came under severe scrutiny for his comments earlier this month about the African Diaspora.
“The Chinese-American has a base. He knows he’s from China. The Italian-American knows where their grandparents came from in Italy,” he said.
“They know the first person from their family to come to America and start that line to make them Italian-American. Same goes to everyone else except the African-American. How can an African-American and an Italian American be on the same field when…”
As for IDK, he’s working toward the release of his F-65 album later this year and “850” is another single pushing toward the project, which will be released under his Clue No Clue LLC in combination with Warner Music.
