IDK Shuts Down Homophobic Haters Over Saucy Santana Collab: ‘I Love Him Forever’

IDK has no regrets regarding his recent collaboration with Saucy Santana on his latest track, “Pinot Noir,” despite receiving some homophobic-veiled criticism.

On Tuesday (May 9), IDK took to Twitter to let folks know he’s not interested in homophobic hate regarding his recent collaboration with openly gay artist Saucy Santana. The rapper noted: “I don’t have to be a gay rapper to put an openly gay rapper on my song.”

The rapper tapped the Miami rap star along with Jucee Froot for the track, which appears on his latest album, F65, which was released on May 5.

“I heard the beat, and I heard a very talented artist by the name of Saucy Santana on that beat. I love him forever for taking that risk with me. Now we have a banger for the summer,” he tweeted.

    Check out the video below:

One fan, however, requested an edited version of the track, saying that they “can’t be bumping that in whip” because the rapper was “talking about dicks and shit.”

Upon hearing this, IDK cleverly replied, recommending they “keep listening” and try to have fun, because they “might even start singing along.”

Following IDK’s online exchange, Santana responded to his tweets, applauding him for being his ally. “Let’s go!!!! Appreciate you! Real n-ggas do real things!” he wrote.

In a separate post, the “Material Gworl” rapper posted a video praising IDK for even considering him to be featured on the song.

“I’m making this video to give a special shout out to IDK,” he began. “Me, IDK, and Jucee Froot have a song that just came out on his new album called Pinot Noir. I just want to show gratitude and recognize him for including me in his space. “[With] him being a straight, male rapper and me being a openly gay rapper, alot of people be scared of the backlash or what people might think, but I just respect him for noticing me as talent.”

He added: “Talent is undeniable. He wasn’t worried about what I rap about, who I am, how he thought I would act [or] what anyone would think. He just saw talent. He saw me for what I could bring to this record.”
