IDK (short for Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge) is prepared to deliver his debut album. The MC formerly known as Jay IDK has announced his Is He Real? LP will drop September 4.
The project will be his follow-up to last year’s IDK & Friends EP and his first full-length release since 2017’s IWASVERYBAD.
“I don’t have peers… my only competition is myself,” he wrote on Instagram. “What I’m about to do with this album is going to put me in a totally new category. I respect what everyone is doing, but with all due respect I don’t ever really pay much attention these days. I’m doing me… Is He Real will be one of the greatest albums of our generation and that’s on my mother. RIP Julia Lynch.”
Along with release date, IDK has shared the album’s official cover art and unveiled his upcoming tour dates.
IDK’s aptly named Is He Really Touring? Tour will kick off with a festival date later this month. Following his 2019 Made In America Festival gig, the Maryland-bred rapper will resume his travels in October and conclude his run of shows in November.
