Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane [click to read] will be releasing his next album, The State Vs. Radric Davis, on December 8. While his first disc, 2007’s Back To The Traphouse [click to read], was distributed through Atlantic Records, The State Vs. Radric Davis will be put out through So Icey/Asylum/Warner Bros.
“Spotlight” will be the album’s first official single, which features R&B singer Usher [click to read] on the hook and Polow da Don behind the boards. The music video for “Spotlight” has already been shot, with cameos from Young Money’s Nicki Minaj and comedian/actor Eddie Murphy’s daughter Bria Murphy.
While no official track list has been distributed as of yet, it has been rumored that Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy [click to read], and OJ Da Juiceman have been tapped for guest appearances. Contributions from the production side will also include Mannie Fresh, Drumma Boy [click to read], and Sean Garrett.
Prior to announcing the release of his second album, Gucci Mane has unleashed four mixtapes in the last month for his fans. Most notable is the DJ Drama-hosted [click to read] Guccimerica [click to listen], which features verses from Drake and Mike Bigga (formerly Killer Mike) [click to read].
