Kid Sister‘s [click to read] long-delayed debut album has finally been given a cemented release date. After the formerly titled Dream Date was pushed back for almost a whole year, the newly christened Ultraviolet will see a November 17th release. The Chicago-based rapper explained that the album delay was requested by her, as she felt the debut was incomplete. “There were a few things about the album that irked me,” she said earlier this year. “The album wasn’t cohesive.”
The CD will include the Kanye West-featured “Pro Nails,” which is the 2007 single that helped to put her on the map. In accordance with the release of her first album, Kid Sister will be touring this fall with Flosstradamus [click to read] (her very own kid brother, J2K, is one half of the Flosstradamus duo). The jaunt begins on Oct. 19 in Vancouver, and will hit spots like San Francisco (Oct. 22), Chicago (Nov. 25), and New York City (Nov. 27) before ending in Toronto (Nov. 28).
