After working with just about every artist from Ice Cube, Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Eve, Dr. Dre has been named by Rolling Stone Magazine as the top moneymaker in 2001.
Having earned a reported 51.9 million dollars last year, Dre’s has become the highest paid rapper in the business. Not only did he earn a reported two million dollars last year for his work on Mary J.Blige’s album “No More Drama”, he reportedly got an extra boost in revenue from a partnership with his record company Aftermath Entertainment and Vivendi.
Dr. Dre’s current projects are R & B artist Truth Hurts debut album “Truthfully Speaking”, dropping June 25th, the current number one album in the country “The Eminem Show”, Xzibit’s new album “Man VS Machine”, and newly signed to the label, Rakim’s latest CD. Dr. Dre also has plans to record one more album before he puts down the mic and focuses on his company and artist. Dre has also said that he plans to record an album with Timbaland titled “Chairman of the Board”, when ever both producers can find time in their schedules.
