Only days before the upcoming release of rapper Shyne [click to read] from prison, Diddy speaks to DJ Absolute regarding Shyne and his October 6 release from the Woodbourne Correctional Facility.

When asked about Shyne [click to read], Diddy seemed optimistic about his former Bad Boy artist’s release from prison.

“It’s a blessing that he’s coming home,”
Diddy explained on New York City’s HOT97. “I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of [many] talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”

Back in 2001, Shyne [click to read] was sentenced to 10 years in prison for first degree assault following a shooting that took place at a club in New York City in 1999. Diddy, who was also at the club, was acquitted of all charges.

It is still unclear what direction Shyne will take with his recording career once he is released.
