Fans of his music know Drake as a rapper but he was initially best known for his acting skills. After a stint on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Drake will be taking on a role in a comedy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter [click here], Drake will be a part of Us and Them, a comedy starring Drizzy and Mazin Eisadig. The show will be about two friends who are completely different from one another. It will follow the duo as they try to make their names known in the entertainment business.

In other news, former 3rd Bass member Prime Minister Pete Nice is now known as Peter Nice, a writer and collector of sports memorabilia. He is currently trapped in a legal battle with Rob Lifson, the president behind Robert Edward Auctions, according to the New York Daily News [click here]. Their legal battle stems from a long standing feud between the two gentleman regarding financial and legal issues.

Lifson denies being investigated, but the New York Daily News is reporting that an FBI agent is looking into the case to see if Lifson and/or Nash have been selling stolen memorabilia.

In other news, M.A.A.D. Management and Center Stage Promotions are holding a benefit show at the Trocadero in Philadelphia on Sunday August 9, 2009. Dave Sale’s story inspired the management and promotions companies to put forth this effort. On July 25, Sale was beaten and killed in a bar fight with three men. According to a press release from M.A.A.D. and Center Stage, this was one of seven murders that took place in the city over the course of one weekend, prompting them to action.

The benefit show will feature Sandman, Scholar, Adlib, Microphone Tone, Friascanb and more artists to be named later. There will be a $10 cover charge but proceeds will be donated to Dave Sale’s Family. The event will be held at the address below and the show is set to start at 9pm.
