Queens rapper and Rock The Bells co-headliner Nas will reportedly miss the birth of his son from ex-wife and singer Kelis.

While the estranged couple was expected to attend a court hearing Tuesday morning over child and spousal support, plans changed as Kelis went into labor at 10:30 a.m. According to TMZ, Nas’ lawyer Mark Kaplan had stated the rapper rushed to the hospital to see the birth of his son, however, he was rejected entry.

In other news, rapper Yung Berg has recently been accused of assaulting a woman at his Woodland Hills house in California. According to AllHipHop.com, Chelsea Berry had attended a small get-together at Berg’s (real name: Christian Ward) home on July 15. After heated words were exchanged between Berry and Berg concerning another woman, Berry alleges that’s when the assault ensued.

He striked [sic] me with the palm of his hand, like about three times. On my head, on my eye, and I was falling back like, ‘What did I do? What did I do?’”

Immediately after this incident, Berry stated he told her to leave. One of Berg’s friends offered to give her a ride home, however, according to Berry, that’s not what occurred.

When they pull out, Berg’s like, ‘we’re not taking her home.’” Continuing, Berry alleges, “[We] end up driving all the way up this hill in the middle of nowhere, I had no idea where I was at, and tells me to get out. I was crying and saying ‘I’m gonna get you back. I’m about to call my friends when I get out.’ And that’s when Berg gets out and comes over to me and says he’s sorry, and then he grabs my phone and throws it and my phone completely shattered.”

Berry states she filed a formal police report the next day (July 16), however, due to confidentiality, the LAPD cannot release information concerning the alleged incident.
