With a decade of lyrical experience and countless features with other heavy hitting artists, Trife Diesel (formerly Trife Da God) will finally be making his solo debut with Better Late Than Never, which comes out July 21.
As a close affiliate to the Wu-Tang Clan, and onetime member of Theodore Unit, over the years, Trife Diesel has worked regularly with Ghostface Killah [click to read], being featured on several of his albums dating back to 2001. While Trife and Ghostface put out a successful collaborative CD/DVD in 2005 called Put It On The Line [click to read], Better Late Than Never will serve as Trife’s first official solo project.
To generate buzz on the streets before his album comes out, the Staten Island emcee will be releasing a mixtape next week entitled The Project Pope. The mixtape’s lead single, “Speed of Life,” features Inspectah Deck [click to read] and B.o.B [click to read] and can be heard [here].
