RZA [click to read] spoke to Billboard.com today about his upcoming album, Chamber Music [click to read], and expressed that the CD is not a Wu-Tang Clan album.
“I think the [‘Chamber Music’] title is very fitting,” he said. “This music is totally in the chamber, or in the mind-frame of Wu-Tang like in the [Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)] days. But it’s not a Wu-Tang album. The whole Clan‘s not on this album. But it couldn’t be in any other category but Wu-Tang.”
Although RZA, who takes the role of executive producer of the album, assures that the CD is not officially a Wu project, the album is definitely Wu-inspired, holding the signature Wu sound and featuring Clan members Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and U-God.

The album will also feature Kool G Rap, AZ, Havoc, Sean Price and a few others.
Chamber Music is set for release on June 30 via E1 Records.
In other news, Eve is set to show off her acting chops with a two-episode guest-starring role on Fox‘s Glee this fall. She will be playing “Rosa Sparks,” a no-nonsense choir teacher from McKinley High‘s rival school.

Last on the music scene with 2002’s Eve-Olution, Eve‘s newest album Flirt is set for release later on this year despite severe setbacks (and despite a successful leading single, “Tambourine”).
Finally, Gym Class Heroes‘ Travis McCoy blogged on the Huffington Post on Tuesday about his trip to South Africa to promote HIV and AIDS awareness. As part of MTV‘s Staying Alive campaign, the program “gives grants to young people to help empower youth to make better decisions regarding safe sex.”
