Lil Boosie, real name Torrance Hatch, was arrested Wednesday on assault charges stemming from an incident that occurred April 12 in his home.
According to Baton Rouge’s local television station WAFB, Boosie and an unidentified man got into an argument concerning one of Boosie’s necklaces, in which he accused the man of stealing. After a scuffle, police believe the man was then hit with a vase; he sustained minor injuries as a result. Boosie is being formally charged with second degree battery.
“I’m suing the sherrif’s office,”Boosie said, as local police took him in for booking. “They been in my house stealing.”
This is not the first time the Louisiana rapper has ran into the law, as last October Lil Boosie was arrested on possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana. In that incident, he resisted arrest.
