Official sources confirmed today that veteran Bay Area emcee and Hieroglyphics front-man Del The Funkee Homosapien [click to read] (now spelled as “Del The Funky Homosapien“) has partnered with former Beastie Boys affiliate, producer and keyboardist Money Mark to produce an album for Salvador Santana.

As the son of famed guitarist and songwriter Carlos Santana, Salvador is based in Los Angeles, since garnering acclaim in the Bay Area. The project, releasing on the SantanasVBE imprint, was also confirmed to include appearances from GZA [click to read], as well as other rap acts.

Both Mark and Del remixed records from the band’s SSB debut, a supplemental project which released in September of last year.
