Of course, even with their current status, Play mentioned they still have more work left to progress their Hip Hop legacy. “This win makes me feel even more motivated to continue to make good music and it shows me that my brother and I are on the right track and doing what we were meant to do.”

Speaking with MTV recently, Play stated that “Got Money” almost didn’t make it to Weezy, due to various artists attempting to buy it, and then of course, the multiple album delays. “[‘Tha Carter III’] had so many release dates…then we was hoping our song didn’t get leaked. We was hoping that this song didn’t end up on DJ Drama’s ‘Gangsta Grillz 28’ and then don’t make it to the album.”

Because of their new found success, Play-N-Skillz will be featured on MTV and MTV2 this week for their “Dallas Week” segment, which covers up-and-coming artists, clubs, and an overall Hip Hop culture emerging from this southern city.
