Last night Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured when their plane crashed killing four others.

A spokesperson for the FAA, Kathleen Bergen, said the plane, a Lear jet, attempted to take off shortly before midnight, (Friday Sept. 19, 2008) from Columbia, S.C., en route to Van Nuys, Calif., when the air traffic controller reported seeing sparks coming from the plane. The plane then went off the runway and crashed on a highway embankment, catching fire.

Both DJ AM, real name Adam Michael Goldstein, and Travis Barker were taken to Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga. Both men are in critical but stable condition. According to TMZ.com, Barker and DJ AM saved their own lives by jumping out of the door of the burning plane when the plane came to a halt. Unfortunately four others, including the pilot, co-pilot and Barker‘s assistant, Chris Baker, died in the flames.
