Platinum producer Deric “D Dot” Angelettie [click to read] has been hard at work with a number of emcees from his hometown of Brooklyn recently. The producer for hits such as Notorious B.I.G.‘s “Hypnotize” and Jay-Z‘s “Where I’m From” announced yesterday that he about to return to his alter-ego, The Madd Rapper.

Joined by Statik Selektah [click to read], the two will release Appreciate The Hate: The Madd Rapper Chronicles Volume 1 this month. The mixtape will feature the Internet hit, “Brooklyn Let’s Go” featuring Joell Ortiz, Maino and others. Redman, Notorious B.I.G., E Ness and others are included on the mixtape.

In 2000, Columbia Records released the Madd Rapper‘s first release, Tell ‘Em Why U Madd. The release would prove to be important in the development of 50 Cent in the included track “How To Rob.”

The release will premier D Dot‘s Crazy Cat Catalogue imprint, home to Wais P The Pimp, best known for his work with The Ranjahz.
