RAMENGVRL joins forces with Yung Raja in the new single, “MING LING,” out via Asiatic Records on August 12.

The Indonesian rapper embraces all things Asian in “MING LING,” packed with multiple references from kuaci (roasted plant seeds, a popular Asian snack) to Tiger Balm, a topical over-the-counter pain reliever originating from Singapore, with a punchy assist from Singapore’s Yung Raja. An accompanying video is set to premiere today, the 15th.

RAMENGVRL shared that the “bravado I’m-the-shit” track aims to touch on Asian representation. “While the mission… might seem like it’s been done before, there are still areas that have received less exposure than the others,” she explains via a press statement.

When it comes to working with Yung Raja, she says, “This collaboration between Yung Raja and I was naturally seamless as we both share the same sentiment. There’s a lot of Asian references lyrically and Yung Raja brings so much spice to the track. I genuinely believe that this will be the anthem that people are going to vibe with.”

“MING LING” arrived a week before RAMENGVRL’s first headline show in Malaysia in two years on August 19 at The Bee, Publika in Kuala Lumpur.

She is also set to join the line-up of KV Fest (alongside Korean superstar Jessi) in Jakarta, Indonesia at Tennis Indoor Senayan on August 28.
