The last few weeks have been rather busy for Drake as he released his new album Honestly, Nevermind. He’s been out and about recording music videos and hanging out with several of his peers. Drizzy fans know when he’s out this much in public, he’s working on something big, and it looks like he’s giving that to people very soon.
During his live stream with Stake, the online gambling site he’s been frequenting lately, Drake revealed he has a huge announcement on Wednesday (July 13). As cunning as he is, the 6 God had hints in his statement that could lead to what the announcement is about.
“Big announcement coming Wednesday for the city,” he said. “Appreciate everyone listening to the new album. Embracing something that I wanted to do for a long time. I appreciate all the love.”
He added, “You know, means a lot to me that it’s been this many years, people still tuning in, being open showing a lot of love to, you know, different shit. I’m back going crazy, though. I’m just letting you know right now. I’m in a different bag right now. I promise you. Scary.”

The “big announcement” could be anything, but most signs could point to news regarding OVOFest. He mentioned “the city” in his speech, a phrase he used to refer to his hometown, and Drake’s annual festival has been a mainstay in Toronto, Canada, since 2010. However, the pandemic put it on hold for the last three years.
It helps that during his surprise guest appearance in the middle of UK artist Dave’s Toronto tour stop, Drake announced he’ll see fans at OVOFest very soon, hinting the event would return this year. The festival is usually held the first weekend of August, and that’s right around the corner.
The announcement may also have something to do with his next song pack, Scary Hours 3. Drake closed off his statement with the word “Scary,” and if fans remember, he hinted at releasing the third entry in his beloved series during the debut episode of his new SiriusXM show Table For One.
“I got another Scary Hours pack coming too, in a little bit. Maybe not right now; I need you to just take this in right now,” Drake said. “But I have a Scary Hours — I’m gonna slap some head tops off with the Scary Hours pack. I love this s–t.”
