Rapper Coolio was arrested early this morning, according to TMZ.com. The actor and rapper was driving his 1996 Hummer, when he was stopped for a minor traffic violation in Los Angeles. Police officers discovered that Coolio had a suspended license from a 2001 incident, and apprehended him. Bail has been reportedly set at $10,000. Coolio is remembered for his hit “Gangsta’s Paradise” from the 1995 album of the same name. The song received mass exposure through the film Dangerous Minds. Coolio scored a previous hit in “Fantastic Voyage” from his platinum It Takes A Thief album. Coolio‘s career began with WC & The Maad Circle as a rapper and hype-man, before going solo on Tommy Boy Records. His last album was 2006’s Return of the Gangsta, which featured Snoop Dogg.
