Rae Sremmurd are readying new music with the announcement of their fourth studio album, SREMM4LIFE.Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi announced the news via the duo’s Twitter account on Tuesday (May 30), featuring a graphic of the number four surrounded by flames.

Swae Lee tweeted on his own account, “Bout to get a dose of this Sremmy,” with Slim Jxmmi adding, “Time for that 4 foe four for phor.”

Rae Sremmurd’s last album SR3MM was released in 2018 with features from Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Juicy J and more. The LP debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 57,000 total album-equivalent units.

During an interview with HollywoodLife in June 2021, Swae Lee revealed they were hard at work on the new project and had made a song with Lizzo.

“We tryna save the summer with the SREMM4LIFE, man,” he said at the time. “We got so much music. We just got a couple more verses, you know what I’m saying? We tryna balance our life and the studio and everything and just get it mixed down and get all the videos shot. Every day it’s a non-stop process. Every day we working. It’s like a baby – you can never take the attention away from it. You always gotta have constant attention on it. Be thinking about it 24/7, what’s next with it. So, we on our final steps of it.”

He added, “It’s a couple artists on there. You know, we fuck with a lot of artists in the game right now, but one I was just excited about, I hope Slim Jxmmi don’t be mad at me and shit, but we got a song with Lizzo that we did. It’s super banging, us and Lizzo, you know what I’m saying? So, for sure.”
