Nipsey Hussle’s memory has continued to live on way past his untimely passing in March 2019, and his family is looking to do even more in his name. On Monday (May 16), Nipsey’s estate announced an upcoming documentary titled The Marathon (Cultivation) that explores the late rapper’s life.

The Hussle family held a special screening event on the rooftop of the newest Marathon Clothing store on Melrose in Los Angeles, California. On top of detailing his life, the documentary also digs into the history behind Nipsey and his older brother Blacc Sam‘s million-dollar cannabis strain, Marathon OG.

“We’ve been in the marijuana business for a minute, illegally,” Blacc Sam said at the screening. “We always had our eyes on a legit license and we wanted to put together something that explains the journey.”

On top of the documentary, guests were offered the opportunity to purchase the latest drops from The Marathon Clothing company and sneakers from Nipsey’s Puma collaboration.

The screening event was also a celebration of the future opening of The Marathon (Collective) store in Canoga Park on June 18. The new store is being presented as the premier shop for various THC and CBD products.
