In the midst of an ongoing legal battle with his son’s mother, a new conflict has arisen in the personal life of 50 Cent. The home where former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins was living, located in Dix Hills, a section of New York’s Long Island, burned to the ground beginning at 5:00 am this morning.
There were six people taken to Huntington Hospital and treated for minor injuries. There is no confirmation yet if Tompkins or 50 Cent‘s son Marquis were included in those injured. The mother and son were living in the million dollar-plus home at the time of the incident.
The house in question was the subject of a lawsuit [click to read] by 50‘s ex-girfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. After an unsuccessful attempt to have child support payments raised to $50,000 per month, 50 sought to have Tomkins evicted from the residence on the grounds that she allowed another man to move in.
Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Field called the fire “suspicious” and arson squad investigators were on the scene. Field also added that all six people hospitalized were in stable condition.
