T.I. has been one of the most ardent supporters of Kevin Samuels since the image consultant’s unexpected death earlier this month. After initially brushing off those who didn’t appreciate Samuels’ frequent disparaging of Black women, Tip decided to up his love for Samuels and his work regarding relationships and interpersonal communication between Black men and women with an entire show of his ExpediTIously podcast dedicated to his memory.

On Friday (May 13), Tip uploaded an Instagram video of both men and women who praised Samuels’ work, referring to him as an “uncle they never had” and helping certain men “understand their worth and significance.”

“Gon keep reppin for all the strong minded black men that society has trained you to hate because they don’t go along with the programming,” Tip captioned his post. “Fun fact:There can be no bad without good & vice versa. Don’t let herd mentality make you ignore the value of information….That’s when they got you right where they want you. As promised I’m dropping a special unreleased episode of @expeditiouslyti dedicated to @kevinrsamuels soon. until then… chew on this! ”

Kevin Samuels passed away on May 5 in Atlanta at the age of 57. A woman who met Samuels days prior was with him at the apartment when he complained of chest pains and fell to the floor. She called 911 and first responders attempted to perform CPR on him but he was later pronounced dead at Piedmont Hospital. An official cause of death has yet to be determined.

T.I. Defends Kevin Samuels From 'Bullies' Following Dating Guru's Death

On May 7, T.I. scolded detractors of the late relationship guru in a 14-minute Instagram video, referring to them as “bullies” who would dance on Samuels’ grave rather than let the dearly departed rest.

“I can’t stand it,” Tip said. “I ain’t gon’ let y’all bully this dead man. We gon’ let this man rest in peace. Whatever he did, he did it and [he’s] gone. He got away with it. Fuck ya. That’s between him and God. Him and the Lord gon’ have to deal with it. You ain’t got no heaven or hell to put him in. So, I wanna see who the fuck wanna say something [to] me while I’m still alive.”
