San Bernardino, CA

Playboi Carti boasts one of the most high-octane shows in Hip Hop today. The Atlanta rap star has a cult following who invariably lose their minds whenever he performs live, as seen at Lollapalooza last year.

It was no different on Saturday (April 30) when Carti took to the stage at the Smokers Club Festival in San Bernardino, California. However, things got out of hand when a group of fans tried to rush the stage, causing his set to be cut short.

In a clip shared on social media, security staff spring in to action to block off an entrance after multiple festival attendees had broken a barricade in an attempt to reach the VIP section. The fans then dispersed from the area, presumably to find another way to get to the stage.

Playboi Carti only managed to perform two songs before his set got cut short. The 25-year-old was vibing out next to his guitarist when his music suddenly cut off and someone came on stage asking fans by the railing to take a step back due to safety concerns.

Once security resolved the situation, the show went on with A$AP Rocky and Kid Cudi’s sets going off without a hitch. It was reported the other stages were unaffected by the safety delay.
