Troutman, NC

DaBaby’s home in Troutman, North Carolina was visited by police on Wednesday evening (April 13) following reports of a shooting on the property. The Troutman Police Department said an individual suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a local medical facility for treatment.

The shooting happened at around 7:45 p.m. local time on the grounds of DaBaby’s $2.3 million mansion, although the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear. The police believe it was an “isolated incident” and are unable to disclose any further information on the shooting. DaBaby (real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk) has yet to address the incident.

DaBaby moved into the home in December 2019. The 8.94-acre, Tuscan-style property boasts five bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, as well as a full-sized basketball court, chef’s kitchen, theater room, wine cellar, swimming pool and its own multi-level putting green.

Troutman is a small town of roughly 2,600 people that’s located 35 miles north of Charlotte, where the 30-year-old rapper grew up.

This isn’t the first time shots have been fired at DaBaby’s home. During a 2019 interview with VladTV, the Blame It On Baby hitmaker recalled the time six armed men broke into his apartment and claimed he shot one of them.
