Bang Yongguk of B.A.P. Proves His Versatility In Sophomore Album, ‘[2]’

South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, producer Bang Yongguk returns with his sophomore project, [2].

The former leader of boy group B.A.P. also premiered the music video for the lead single “Up” via his label, CONSENT. According to a press statement, the six-track E.P. is a “mostly dark, serious, and gloomy record” that “represents a connection between surrealistic identity and realistic identity that is living in a recognizable world,” as Yongguk shares stories about love, hate, joy, and sadness.

His executive-produced video for “Up” shows Yongguk shrouded in vignettes of masqueraded dancers as the visual oscillates between light and shadow. True to his transformation as a solo artist, he embarks on new visual narratives to trace his growth in his latest work.

The album also marks his first record release with his newly established label, CONSENT. [2] follows last year’s RACE. He launched his solo career in 2019 with a self-titled album, following his six-year stint as the leader of B.A.P. He has also released a photo essay titled To you who is okay to touch my face.

    Tracklist:
