The Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez debacle is growing messier by the minute. All hell broke loose on Wednesday (February 23) when Akademiks claimed Tory Lanez’s DNA wasn’t found on the gun allegedly used to shoot Megan in July 2020.
As Megan and Akademiks traded shots on social media, Tory Lanez got in on the action as well, which only seemed to infuriate the “WAP” rapper further.
At one point during Megan’s tirade, she posted and deleted a text message from the Canadian rapper that read, “Meg, I know u prolly never gone to talk to me again. But I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. And I was just too drunk. None the less shit should have never happened and I can’t change what I did. I just feel horrible.”

She added in the caption, “Lie yo way out of this … if you ain’t do shit what you was apologizing for? THE LAWYERS GOT YO PHNE RECORDS AND MINE. ALL YOUR TXT. THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK.”

But according to Tory Lanez, he wasn’t apologizing for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion that night in Los Angeles. In another tweet, Lanez claimed he was sleeping with both Megan and her ex-best friend Kelsey, which led to an argument inside the SUV.

Megan Thee Stallion addressed the incident in November 2020 on her Roc Nation debut Good News. As many of her fans suspected, she wasted no time ripping Tory Lanez to shreds on the album opener “Shots Fired.” Over the 1994 Biggie beat “Who Shot Ya,” she goes in with, “Imagine n-ggas lyin’ ’bout shootin’ a real bitch (Huh?)/Just to save face for rapper n-ggas you chill with/Imagine me givin’ a fuck it was your fuckin’ birthday (Fuck you)/You in your feelings, I just thought it was another Thursday.

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez are expected back in court on April 5. Meanwhile, Akademiks hasn’t stopped talking about the case and responded to a comment from Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney Alex Spiro who called Akademiks a “desperate man.”
