50 Cent, known for his numerous beefs within the music industry, recently spoke to MTV about his bad blood with former G-Unit member, The Game, being the “Champ” of Hip Hop, and using DJ Drama for marketing purposes.

When asked about how his next album will drop on the same day as Game in the same fashion as with Kanye West, 50 replied: “Even if you built that type of [hype], i don’t think anyone would really look at it like competition. I don’t think anyone could legitimately look at him like ‘this is him versus. G-Unit’. That doesn’t make any sense. I make money every time he releases an album. He signed a five-album deal. He’s only on album three…but i think [if there was real competition between us] we could potentially recreate was was created with east coast/ west coast [beef].”

50 then went on to expand his feelings towards Game, and also how he doesn’t feel recognized within the industry, saying, “I don’t get the recognition I’m supposed to get form the establishment.I think my peers acknowledge it and thats why I constantly have to compete with artists on the Hip Hop level because the competitive nature of the art form make the guy that they target like I’m the champ. So they want the title shot.  So, away from that, there will be nothing that indicates to me that its actually poppin’ . My first album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ did over 12 million, The second I did 9.8 million worldwide with The Massacre …and if i didn’t give Game “How We Do,” “Hate It Or Love It,” “Church for Thugs,” “Special,” “Higher,” or “Westside Story” who knows what that project would have been…”

And as far as collaborations with DJ Drama for a G-Unit version of Gangsta Grillz? “From a marketing standpoint, it’s something different. He has a strong following in the southern market. Whoo Kid is the  biggest mixtape DJ period. but Drama has a pocket of ppl who want that Drama Gangsta Grillz tape that might not pick up Whookid’s tape…there might not be much of a pocket, but he definitely has his own following enough so that it makes sense for them to merge together so we can get to all of [the fans]”
