Rap legend KRS-One was injured during a recent performance at a New Haven, CT nightclub after an angry fan threw a bottle on to the stage.

The fan, who became enraged after being escorted off stage by the Toad’s Place nightclub’s security, launched a bottle at the stage, consequently hitting KRS-One in the face and hand. After being struck, KRS remained calm and urged the rowdy crowd to not retaliate.  “Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go,” he reportedly said before being rushed to to Yale-New Haven hospital in an ambulance where he was treated for a fractured hand, and dehydration.

 Ironically, KRS-One‘s New Haven performance was part of a multi-city tour in support of his Stop the Violence Movement.

KRS has apologetically canceled the following dates in order to fully recover:
