Wale, Asheru, Zion I and others will lend their talents and time for the upcoming “Darfur Now College Tour.”
STAND (Students Taking Action Now for Darfur) and Participant Media are sponsoring the tour, which coincides with a documentary DVD, Darfur Now that was released March 27. The schools chosen were selected for their efforts to end the current genocide in Darfur.
In addition to a screening of Darfur Now, the tour aims to raise awareness and funds about the crisis.
Other artists scheduled to participate include Goapele, DJ Drama and Janelle Monae.
