Kanye West is under investigation for an alleged battery that took place in Downtown Los Angeles early Thursday (January 13), according to TMZ.
Law enforcement sources relayed that Kanye was in some sort of argument that led to an altercation where he allegedly shoved an individual around 3 a.m. PT near popular late-night spot Soho Warehouse.
According toFOX11, a fan approached Kanye in his SUV and their conversation turned physical to the point Ye allegedly punched the autograph-seeker.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department as a misdemeanor battery, which would carry a maximum of six months behind bars.
Kanye West’s legal history includes a pair of arrests stemming from altercations with paparazzi photographers at Los Angeles International Airport in 2008 and 2013.

TMZalso got their hands on a video clip of an enraged Kanye in a parking lot talking to a pair of women. It’s not known exactly at what point in the night the footage was taken.
