Lil Wayne is a diehard Los Angeles Lakers fan and has been for nearly his entire life. During a recent fan Q&A with Bumbu, Weezy revealed his NBA Finals predictions where he laid out a few teams he thinks could hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy come June and the Lakers surprisingly weren’t one of them.

“I’m a Laker fan and we look horrible, so obviously I won’t predict that it will be the Lakers and Brooklyn or something like that.”

It’s unclear when exactly the clip was filmed but the Lakers have ripped off three straight wins to get above .500 with a record of 20-19 while Anthony Davis remains sidelines with an injury.

Wayne continued, “If I’m going to be fair and truthful — four teams — I think it’s going to come down to Milwaukee and Brooklyn [in the Eastern Conference] and as far as in the West, I think it’s going to be a shocker like Memphis and I think you gotta worry about Phoenix again, they’re gelling. They ready.”

While his picks in the East are the early favorites, his Western Conference selections are sure to get fans riled up, especially those who support the Golden State Warriors, who he omitted although they are tied for the best record in the West at 29-8.
