Fans of New York Hip Hop were treated to a surprise earlier this month when Vado, Dave East and Lloyd Banks announced they were uniting to form a supergroup called The Council.

Three weeks after that announcement, The Council is kicking things off with the official music video for Vado’s “Respect the Jux” which was produced by Darrell “Digga” Branch. Dave East and Lloyd Banks linked up with the Harlem rapper to drop the song last month and it’s expected to appear on Vado’s forthcoming project, Long Run 2.

In the video, The Council runs around New York City collecting what’s owed to them through a series of robberies at gunpoint. The video ends with a trailer to the upcoming movie Respect The Jux, in which Vado has a starring role.

“This is the soundtrack of the gritty NYC streets, so it’s only right I went and got two of the grittiest lyricists to join me in Lloyd Banks and Dave East; AKA Bank Matthews and Dave Hyatt,” Vado said in a statement. “The track is produced by my fellow Harlemite’ 6 Figure Digga.'”
