(6:50pm) David Diaz thought he was going to have a cakewalk with little known Ramon Montano but had to earn a 10rd majority decision. There’s a possibility that we’ll be seeing Diaz against Pacquiao in the near future. As rough and rugged as Diaz is, it could be an interesting fight.
(7:03pm) Abner Mares demolished Diosdado Gabi with a brutal assault that began at the beginning of the first round and didn’t stop until roughly 40 seconds into the second round. The Mexican contingency as VERY pleased and nothing better to get them hyped up for Marquez than a dominant victory by another native fighter.
(7:18pm) The Luevano and Jandaeng fight is pretty good. But guess who just stepped into the building? Iron Mike Tyson! Rumors have been hovering that a Tyson/Holyfield fight may be happening in the near future but judging by the visible gut Tyson was toting with him, those rumors are probably false.
(8:03pm) Luevano gave Jandaeng a pretty good boxing lesson by jabbing and circling to right before the stalking challenger could set and throw. Although Janaeng stunned Luevano several times, it becomes relatively difficult to beat a champion when throwing one punch at a time. Easy decision for Luevano as the “Manny” and “Marquez” chants have begun. The main event is next!
