It’s been a long time coming — Mt. Westmore is finally ready to roll out some new music.

On Monday (October 18), Eminem offered Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Too $hort and E-40 a little promotional help by tweeting out their first video snippet. He wrote in the caption simply, “@mount_westmore.”

In the space-themed clip, Snoop Dogg saunters through a spacecraft dressed like a commanding officer and immediately shoots the first person to approach him. The next scene finds Snoop helming the vessel with Too $hort riding shotgun and E-40 in the back, asking, “Man, why Snoopy Dogg always get to fly? I’m the flyest muthafucka…” Snoop then blasts an alien while saying, “Dog head bitch.”

Mt. Westmore’s official Instagram post revealed a little more information —  but not much. According to the caption, the track is called “Big Subwoofer” and expected to arrive on Wednesday (October 20).

HipHopDX discovered Too $hort, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and E-40 had formed a supergroup in December 2020 after obtaining an exclusive clip of the Serch Says podcast featuring Short Dawg.

“During the quarantine, I got a call from Ice Cube and E-40,” Short explained around the 55-minute mark. “Over the years, probably more than the past five years, we’ve been doing kind of these old school concerts. It will be either Snoop Dogg or Ice Cube headlining, or it will be me, E-40, sometimes it’s Bone Thugs, DJ Quik.

“They usually call it like ‘How The West Was Won,’ ‘West Coast Kings’ or some shit like that and it’s always a big show and it always sells out. It’s like 20, 30,000 people — whatever the size of the arena is — it’s sold out.”

He continued, “So I get a call during the early part of the quarantine from E-40 and Ice Cube going, ‘Man, we feel like we should do an album. Like me, you … it’s E-40, Cube, Too $hort and Snoop Dogg. And I’m like — E-40 and Too $hort from the Bay, Snoop Dogg and Cube are from L.A. and we like the West Coast foundation. We sat there and was like, ‘Fuck it, let’s do it.’ So, we start coming up with beats.”

Mt. Westmore made their debut at a Triller fight club event in March, performing a medley of some of their biggest songs as well as some previously unreleased Mt. Westmore material. Speaking to DX in February, Too $hort and E-40 revealed the first musical project will only have one additional feature — the legendary Dr. Dre.

“[Dr.] Dre is on there, man,” $hort confirmed. “He’s on there. Snoop got him on there. Dre is on there. That’s Snoop’s guy. That’s Ice Cube’s guy. They shot a big movie together. He’s on there. Ain’t no doubt about it. You don’t even got to ask him.”

He added, “By the time we stop [making music together], we should have a minimum of three albums already recorded,” to which E-40 said, “All bangers!”
