Lil Durk Told Meek Mill To Visit Chicago At His Own Risk

Lil Durk and Meek Mill have built a strong friendship over the years. During a recent radio interview, Lil Durk reflected on a time he was honest with Meek, who wanted to pull up on him and visit Chicago’s O’Block neighborhood where Durkio once called home prior to moving to Atlanta.

With the losses of his brother DThang and protégé King Von, the OTF leader got candid and humbly admitted he’s unsure if his former hometown is safe for him to travel through at times, never mind bringing another famous rapper into the fold.

“Meek told me that a long time ago, he was like, ‘I’m gon’ come to your hood,'” Durk recalled. “I’m like, ‘At your own risk, bro.’ I’m not gonna sit up here and tell you, ‘You good, bro.’ I’m not even good, you know what I mean?”

Meek Mill and Lil Durk toured together in 2019 and have connected on numerous collaborations and could have another heater on their hands come Friday (August 27). On Instagram, Meek confirmed the highly-anticipated “Sharing Locations” featuring Durk and Lil Baby would arrive this week. The track is produced by Dreamchasers beatmaker Nick Papz.

Lil Durk Says He Felt Like JAY-Z During 1st Chicago Performance In Years

“I’ma dropping sharing locations in Houston @LilBaby @LilDurk Big Bomb! The Voice.. The Hero.. The Motivation! Pro by @Nick_Papz,” he wrote.

Meek, Lil Baby and Lil Durk were spotted filming the video for “Sharing Locations” throughout Atlanta earlier in 2021.

    1. These mfers are crazy, imagine being a millionaire and CHOOSING to hang out in the slums and potentially be murdered instead of chilling in a mansion of 5 star hotel smh

        1. There was a time black doctors lawyers entertainers, etc lived right there in the hood, bringing income and motivation.. Leaving was backwards thinking

          1. That’s true, however they were fooled by the devil, they believed what was said, that they were better than the people they were living around…the beginning of classism for blacks…the devil said you’re still beneath me but above them…

        1. Could u seriously say they are. These not then times no more and with everyone had in a problem making it in life they probably didnt have that proper clout like ither had even if they was street active just books it but hell even being a good soul doesnt keep u a live no more

      1. Which is exactly why Durk told him “At your own risk”. Hate to be the one to say it, but the minute you get some money, the best thing to do is get away from ninjas! Better to deal to with racist white folks than hating ass ninjas. Even their children are problems. It is what it is….

    2. could be a bit of a reality check for lil durk. like you see poor people poor black people in that hood take nothing for granted you made it. it is the appreciation of it all. uplift them with kind words just remember you made it out of there even the whole of chicago you went to atlanta. you know just be a common man have some common sense.

    3. Share the WEALTH!!! Instead of FLASHING cars, diamonds, guns and hoes in your videos to show your people you made it, put back in to your city to make it a better place. Stop reflecting the negative approach on how many bodies you’ll catch and killing your own people and uplift them. God gave you a purpose and a platform, stop wasting it.. ?

      1. I never bother to comment or get into this..BUT u obviously ain’t from Chicago and u CANT FA SURE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT LIL DURK! Before u comment u should do a lil research, cuz u couldn’t be more wrong! If anyone uses their PLATFORM IT IS DURK, VOICE OF THE STREETS ??? Durk has his own NEIGHBORHOOD HEROES FOUNDATION he helps Chicago and so many other communities in need! So sick of people talking about Chicago too, EVERYONE IS A PRODUCT OF THEIR ENVIRONMENT, AND IF U WERENT RAISED IN THIS CITY, U HAVE NO IDEA WTF IM TALKJN BOUT. I’ve heard so many times, why didn’t ur parents move u out of that environment! First of all u lucky if u even have 1 parent let alone 2, my grandma raised me. And so many other kids growing up here have a mom or just a dad or they grandma, also, IF THEY HAD OOTIONS TO GET UP AND MOVE OUT IM SURE THEY WOULD PUT THERE KIDS IN A SAFE SCHOOL, SAFE HOME , SAFE HOOD. BUT when u don’t even know how u what u and ur kids gon eat for breakfast or dinner, moving out of here is so far fetched. Unless u grew up here and really know the struggle, most of u commenting have no idea NO IDEA WHAT ITS LIKE.

        1. I agree my gf is from Englewood and her sister lives in West Garfield. I’m a white guy from Vegas and when we go visit her family we will stay with them for a night or 2. Chicago that south side is just a bad area and people that aren’t from there will never understand the culture in that city. It’s the Wild West on steroids. These kids are frkm broken homes. First the crack era then the opioid and meth shit the last 15 years has done exactly what the government planned. Kids have no mothers or fathers from being killed or in prison or strung out. No one to raise them. They are set up for failure before they even get a chance to know anything else. Killing each other at a rate faster then they could do it! No education cause they keep closing the schools. Kids at 12 trying to money to survive and join a gang for protection to money. Most don’t plan on making it to see 21 cause that’s what they know. So by the time the ones that make to that age they are already in the system and feel as if they don’t have a future. It’s sad cause so many of them are smart and don’t want to live like that but you become a product of your environment. The ones that hope to leave and try and avoid that life style get caught up in some way. It’s a dangerous area and I think it’s horrible people drive to the area and look at the people living there like they are an attraction or some shit. It’s not game and if you don’t have a reason to be there don’t be there. I just wish people didn’t think it’s so easy to just pack up and move. It’s not that simple.

    4. People say stuff like oh they backwards thinking and all that look mane if you work hard n make a good living for yourself why on god’s green earth would u stay in the slums.. or even visit my guy made it out with his life the same can’t be said for other rapper from his very era and if y’all ever lived in a hood so to speak you would understand that ppl are hungry IDC if you have good intentions bringing your charity to the hood especially when u famous is a risk that no one should take if u gonna give back do it anonymously … Anyways the American dream is to live like them minus the crazy talk about killing ECT. So y hate u want ppl to care so much start giving your money to homeless ppl if not the cut the crap because I guarantee if the shoe was on you foot you would react the same only poor ppl cry about others giving them things it speaks volumes about y’all
