Conway The Machine became internet fodder earlier this week when he posted an Instagram photo of himself wearing an Alexander McQueen skirt with the caption, “I’m too important for you now.”

Comments such as “The agenda done got my boy Conway” and “Sad day in Hip Hop” to “I don’t think this is it bro” and “RIP Griselda” started littering the comment section, but apparently the criticism isn’t bothering the Griselda rapper.

After someone wrote, “Pause ma G. Wtf wrong with you. Are you on your Lil Nas sh!t now,” he jokingly replied, “Lil Con X.” He later added, “That shit just got me another bag. You gonna see me in more McQueen shit.”

Conway The Machine was a recent guest on REVOLT TV‘s new show Off Top featuring co-hosts Rapsody and former Rap City host Big Tigger. In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Conway talked about how impressed he was by their conversational skills.

“It was a great interview,” Conway told DX earlier this month. “You really get a glimpse into the lives of the fans’ favorite artists without having to go on their Instagram or whatever. We don’t really have that platform where you get a close glimpse. The type of questions and the type of information you’re gonna get is gonna be a lot of informative things where you’re probably like, ‘Man, I ain’t no that about him or her.’ I think that’s important and that’s probably the dopest part to me.

“Outside of the videos, I like the information I get ’cause I soak up game from every artist. I’m inspired by every artist. I appreciate an artist being able to sit down with some great hosts and answer some great questions and learn some things I didn’t know about that person or how they hustle or how they got to where they are. That’s all game that’s needed, so I’m gonna soak it up from everybody.”
