It’s been a while since we heard from Beenzino and it seems like we can expect new music soon from him after announcing that he’s now a part of South Korean record label BANA (Beasts and Natives Alike).
In an Instagram post shared on March 25, Beenzino tagged the label in a photo of himself, writing “Out of comfort zoneeeee ??.” According to HIPHOPPLAYA, the South Korean rapper is also currently working with his new label on his second album NOWITZKI, his first album in five years, following 2016’s 12. Seemingly affirming the news, BANA’s official website embedded a video of former NBA player Dirk Nowitzki titled “Dirk Nowitzki Top 50 Career Plays.”
Beenzino last released music in 2019, with a couple of collaborative tracks including “The Fearless Ones” with The Quiett, Sik-K, and CHANGMO.

BANA is home to other South Korean hip hop artists, including Masta Wu and E SENS. The label was most recently received an Audience Award in the Animated Shorts Competition at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival for Opera by Erick Oh.
