Gareth.T is “dying for some boyfriend tutorials.”

The Hong Kong R&B singer-producer just unveiled the latest video for his new track, “Boyfriend Material” via Warner Music Hong Kong.

Poking fun at his ineptness in dating, Gareth.T sings about his desire to find a “worthy partner who can recognize him for his good qualities.”

With a music video helmed by Hanley Chu and the Eastwind collective, Gareth.T plays four classic mythical monsters—a Japanese kappa, a werewolf, a Mechagodzilla-inspired robo-theropod, and a Kong-sized Yeti—but he doesn’t share the same appetite for destruction.

Still, he does his duty and does monster-y stuff, albeit lacklusterly. The Tsing Yi local ultimately draws parallels between his own awkwardness and the ostracized status of monsters.

In real life though, Gareth.T has found love with fellow singer-songwriter Moon Tang. Although dating might not come naturally for him, it seems like he doesn’t have to worry about it now.
