Hong Kong-raised Filipino rapper JB returns with a more contemplative mood in latest single “得個等“ (loosely translated to “Have to wait”) via local label Greytone.

The track was written, arranged, and produced by JB. He co-directed the laidback video with Tezzz, which shows him getting around the streets of Hong Kong following an ambiguous phone call.

“得個等“ is his follow-up to his goofy first single of the year “火機“ (“Lighter”), released in April.

JB has gained prominence in Hong Kong’s underground hip hop community for tracks like “點解咁撚肥” (“This Guy Why So Fat”) and “西遊記” (“Journey To The West”), which he also released in PornHub. In 2019, he released, “FUCKTHEPOPO,” which resulted to death threats and cancelation of his shows in Mainland China. The track has never been released officially.
