YBN Almighty Jay is apparently YBN no more. According to an Instagram post from the 21-year-old rapper, he will now be known as simply Almighty Jay. The move comes shortly after he and crewmate YBN Nahmir got into it on social media, although Jay says it’s something he’s been working on for awhile.

“I BEEN GOING BACK AND FORWARD WITH MY LABEL FOR MONTHS TRYNA GET THIS ‘YBN’ SHIT OFF MY NAME ON SOCIAL MEDIA,” he wrote. “I’M ALMIGHTY JAY!”

Almighty Jay and YBN Nahmir had a heated exchange earlier this week that culminated with the promise of physical violence — although they couldn’t decide on a meeting place.
