Meek Mill got his Memorial Day Weekend off to an awkward start on social media.

On Friday (May 28), the 34-year-old Philly rapper put out an all-points bulletin for a special type of underwear for a lady friend of his.

“I need vibrating panties with the remote lol,” he wrote. “They on Amazon? Lol”

The request was a stark contrast to his work earlier in the day, when he shared the news Eric Riddick was freed from prison after serving 29 years on an unjust murder conviction. Meek helped raise attention to the case and with the help of Philadelphia’s Conviction Integrity Unit, was able to help secure Riddick’s freedom.

“This crazy to see,” Meek wrote. “unbelievable My old head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

As one of the faces of criminal justice reform, Meek’s position has been steady since his release from jail in April 2018 for a probation violation. It would be another 16 months before he was finally off probation, prompting Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner to declare Meek was “unfairly treated in a case that exemplifies the destruction caused by excessive supervision, instances of corruption, and unfair processes in our criminal courts.”
