Chicago, IL

Lil Reese and two other men were shot in a Chicago parking lot in the early hours of Sunday (May 16). Reese — who survived a near-fatal shooting in November 2019 — escaped with an injury to his eye and was listed in fair condition, but one of the other men wasn’t so lucky. According to the Chicago Tribune,a 27-year-old man involved in the melee suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

At the time of the shooting, police discovered a stolen Dodge Durango crashed at the scene. Now, Chicago authorities have revealed Lil Reese was actually in the stolen car, which is where things took a nefarious turn.

Around 10 a.m. local time, a 55-year-old man tracked down his son’s Durango using the vehicle’s GPS system and attempted to detain the occupants in the car, including Lil Reese. But someone pulled out a gun and an all-out shootout commenced. Numerous shell casings were found at the scene and two handguns were found in the Durango.
