Los Angeles, CA

Kevin Gates was reportedly cruising around Los Angeles on Monday night (March 29) when he was t-boned by another driver. According to TMZ, a woman driving a Toyota Prius slammed into his Lamborghini SUV, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. Law enforcement explained the woman ran a red light and came into contact with Gates’ vehicle in the intersection, which eventually came to a stop about 100 feet away from the point of impact.

Nobody was hurt in the accident, but Gates got out of the car and was calmly talking to the woman who remained in the driver’s seat. Photos of Gates’ Lambo show extensive damage to the right and back passenger doors. Police showed up to the scene and facilitated an exchange of insurance information before all parties left.

Kevin Gates has been laying relatively low since dropping the “Power” video last December. In November 2020, Gates’ independent label home Artist Partner Group (APG) and Atlantic Records announced a new partnership, which allowed Atlantic to obtain the catalogs and artists who have been on APG since its 2012 inception — Gates included.

“This is an exciting new chapter for Artist Partner Group and the amazing roster of artists we have worked with over the last eight years,” APG founder Mike Caren said in a statement at the time. “I am thankful to the entire APG and Atlantic teams and all of the incredible talent that continually inspire us. I look forward to the ongoing growth and success of all of our partners and to continuing to build Artist Partner as a home to artists in the evolving market landscape.”
